Valentine's Day

first socio tut.. not too bad i guess.. brought chocs to sch.. =) u noe, i'll GLAD to be in a foreign uni.. we get to talk abt s'pore politics which i dun tink ppl in NUS/NTU can really do.. like the discussion today.. when does our history really start? 1965? 1959? 1819? of way before that? in our history text bks it is stated tt Raffles 'founded' S'pore.. and the story of Sang Ni La Utama (however u spell it) gets shorter and shorter for the newer generation. WHY? in the discover centre, it starts at 1957 i tink.. and there is nothing abt the opposition party.. WHY? we are brain washed or 'white washed', our history is taught as wanted.. it's not the whole truth.. interesting eh? and also why do we pay for calling/booking a cab when we give the taxi companies business? in other countries it is free.. the company and driver gets business and the passenger gets his taxi, at no extra charge.. everyone's happy.. so why do we haf to pay here? why do we agree to it? why not revolt? why are Singaporeans so 'tamed'? listen to almost everything.. *i never thot of tt..*

V Day.. couples all ard the streets.. *sob* so sad.. no one to celebrate wif me.. but it was sweet of a guy fren - my 1st crush, long long time ago- to wish me happy valentine.. *aww* but i'm happier tt HE wished me too.. i miss him so so much.. *siGh*

aniwae, back to my previous post abt the lucky draw thing.. i got to spend my V day, plus my sis, wif our own S'pore idols - Sly & Taufik.. i'm not a really die hard fan.. but i won, so i guess it's no harm to go rite? [fans of them.. pls dun come after me.. =P u're more than welcomed to take the pics off my fotopage.] both got to sing 2 songs each.. Sly sang 'It's My Life' and 'An Jing', while Taufik sang 'One Last (?)' and 'Superstition'. since tis was a girls only thing, the screams were sure deafening.. x_X overall, ok lah.. =P they do haf nice voices.. ^_^ no autograph session, so pics are all i haf for souvenior..
